BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH ILB
International Line Builders is looking for motivated, hard-working individuals who want to contribute to infrastructure growth and development throughout the West.
We are proud to employ highly skilled, expertly trained electrical professionals through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
All our field staff members belong to local labor unions, including IBEW 125, Local 77, Local 291 in Oregon, Washington and Idaho, and California Locals 11, 1184, 1245, 40, 441.
Are you interested in becoming a lineworker? If you’re new to the trade, you’ll start out as an apprentice. Apprentice lineworkers generally need at least a high school diploma or equivalent and a driver’s license. For more information, find a Joint Apprentice Training Center, or JATC, in your area. JATCs are responsible for training lineworkers employed by local unions.
As a JATC apprentice, you’ll learn to build, repair and maintain powerlines and overhead structures. Apprentices receive paid, on-the-job training and pay increases with each step of the program. Upon completion, journeyman lineworkers have skills they can use to work in markets across the country.
in the office
